It is much easier to learn in a small class than in a large one.

Small and larger classes, each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Let us snalyze them vis-a-vis.

Firstly, in small classes teachers can give individual attention to each and every student while this may not be possible in the larger classes. But sometimes repeating such things may make a steudent dependent on his teachers for his/her various activites like should he be participating in a dance competition, making him prone to his future decision making capabilities.

Secondly, small classes may encourage less group involvement activites and more individual oriented tasks. On the other hand, their larger counterparts will be involved in more of group oriented activities rather than the individualistic tasks. Thus, larger classes makes an individual understand and decision of giving priorities to the correct part of their involvement in day to day activites. Moreover, in todays fast changing business world, the participation and contribution of the groups can hardly be ignored anymore when an individual’s impact has come almost to its dead level.

Thirdly, smaller classes may be useful when an individual might be doing some advanced study as like PhD and especially in research but larger classes teach how to achieve every individual’s

goals while achieving the group’s success at the same time.

Last but not the least, larger classes build ever lasting relationships while smaller classes sometimes may lead to harsh competition and rivalry among individuals due to jealousy and many other factors.

Therefore, considering the above said resaons,I would favour learing in a larger class rather than a samller one.

You have received a full scholarship to a good university in your country. You have also been offered a full scholarship to a top university in another country. Which of these two scholarships would you accept?

I would prefer to study in the university of my country rather than going to any another country, if I qualify to get full scholarship at both the universities.

Inida has come up as a strong economic pwerhouse in the past two decades after economic liberalization. It is now considered to be one of the fastest growing and emerging economies. With the future looking good and prosperous for the country, I would prefer to study and work here rather than going abroad to study.

Moreover, top universities like Indian School of Business, Indian Institutes of Managements, Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Information Technology has become global brands with their alumni having established as graduates at par with any other good universities of the world and has been now constantly been ranked at the world level.

Additionally, being in the country helps to be within the reach of my relatives and friends in mutual needs. And I strongly believe that joy of success will be in its true color if we share that joy with our loved near and dear ones.

As I am keenly interested to take my country tot he nect level of its development and see the dream of our past President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam of India becoming a developed country by 2020, I would like to help it from here be lending a hand in its course in every possible way.

There are many types of television shows:comedies, news programs, dramas, reality series, and so on. What is your favorite type of television shows?

I prefer comedies among all the television shows due to below said four reasons.

Firstly, comedies generally help in relaxing and getting energized again. For example, immediatley after The 70′s show, I generally feel out of the worries and tensions and feel afresh to take on the challenges of the daily life.

Secondly, watching shows as that of Friends, make the whole family to be together and enjoy each moment of it. They make me feel closer and understand the deeper meanings of the realtionships too.

Thirdly, comedies provide laughter among us, which has suddenly become one of the most essential ingredient in todays busy world. People have forgetten what is laughter and how to laugh. The enormous number of laughter groups is an example of this. SOmehow, I tend to get the most of the laughter from the funny dramas in the comedy serials.

Last but not the least, Laughing is said to be the best medicine to all the diseases of the world and comedies are the only one who tend to take us back to our childhood where we tend to laugh and live in our dreams and joy, which we tend to lose as we grow up.

Some people like to go to the same place for thier vacations. Other people like to take their vacations in different places.

I would prefer to tkae vacations in different places rather than going to the same place again and again.

There are a lot of excitements and challenges that we face and learn from them when we visit  different places while on vacations. Firstly, new places throws us to a totally new environment; sometimes completely different than what we could imagine. I remember when I went on a vacation to a tiger forest reserver during my college days, spending time with the tribal people of the area and staying in a lonely resort was a great experience. With no electricity in the evenings so as not to disturb the wid animals and spending time with lamps was a challenging task when it was a question of spending around almost 12 hrs in dark . Eating food and sharing experiences with the tribal people was the most amazing experience.

Secondly, though I agree that visiting same places may give some people satisfaction of knowing the people and theat place pretty well but in my opinion, the whole idea of vacations is to explore new for the change that we might be looking for from our daily life.

As CHANGE is the only constant thing in this whole world, I would like to explore new places and thus, love being a observer to the change that I wanted to have in my vacations.

What was the most important decisions that you have ever made? Why was this decision important to you?

I would say, standing for choosing a girl aong the interested girls in our class for the anchor role against the chosen girl by the registrar during our seniors’ convocation was one of the most improtant decsion of my life.

I remember I was given the whole responsibility of organizing and planning the convocation ceremony of our seniors. I formed an oraganzing committe with a handful of students to carry out the task. As with the discussions with the organizing committee and the director of the university, we decided to call for the girls and boys of the universities who would be interestd in anchoring the event. A lot of emails flushed in within a few hours. Meanwhile, a girl managed to convince the Registrar to get her in for the job and she just acts arrogant by not sending an email to teh organizing committee. On the day of the final decision and when the auditions were about to start, the Registrar walks into the class to announce the name of the girl, who he had already chosen. I decided to stand against his decision and my whole team supported my stand. I proposed that as the girl that the Rgistrar choose and others should come and give their auditions before a faculty committee and whoever does well, the final decsion can be made. We managed to convince the Director and he approves for the audition. On the D-day, the girl whom Registrar choose, did not turn up also and we finally went with a new face whom  the whole university never saw on a grand satge before. On the Real Convocation day, the anchorers were admired a lot and the girl came to thank me and giving her that opportunity despite going against a major official of the university.

I still feel good about this decision as I was able to stand for my idealogies and values as I strongly feel these things shape a human being and his true character. Despite knowing the fact that my last final year could turn into a nightmare, I was able to gather courage and guts to fight the odds. And this incident gave me one of the most important lessons of my life that there is no more satisfying than standing for my values and beliefs and it is the only way to be happy.

Some people believe that schools should primarily teach students how to best compete with others. Other people believe that schools should primarily teach students how to cooperate with others.

In today’s world of competence, the one who becomes successful is the one who have used his/her opprotunity as and when it came. In these circumstances, ideally one should be always up for the struggle to face challenges confidently. And this is where schools pitch in to mould the people from their childhood. But categorizing this struggle as competition will not be fair enough for several reasons.

Competition cannot be always be defined as thirst of an individual againt another one. It could be a group, a family, an organization or a society. So, it is very essential to judge the thin difference between the self-interest and a group-difference. So, it is very necessary to fight along with the group for a common cause. Let us take an example of say, a company for which we work. we may be competing against each other each and every day to putsmart each other and be ahead of race for perks and promotion but when it comes to selling the company’s product in the market, we should try to be ONE, cooperating each other in increasing the brand value and recognition of the company, which in turn helps all the workers of the organization. Here, I feel schools should have moulded the people to understand the timing and context of a competition.

Additionally one must not always forget that one finger of hand has no pwer at all and can be broken down by anyone more pwerful but when five fingers of a hand combine, they generate the pwer of a punch which is much much more powerful and harder to break than a single finger. Therefore, I strongly believe that schools should teach people how to compete, with whom to compete and the power of making judgements of competing in which manner at what instant of time in a situation.

Imagine that you can talk for one hour with any person who has lived at any time in history. Which person would you choose to meet?

I would like to meet Abraham Lincoln. Apart from being one of the greatest man of his period and making history in the world, there are few things that I would like to sit with him to ask.

Firstly, what makes a man so special like him? It needs a lot of guts and courage to break the general conventions of one’s living time. Nad there can be no beter person than him to give this answer than Abraham Lincoln, who failed multiple number of times and despite his failures, he went on to finally become one of the greatest President and leader, the world has ever got.

Secondly, if he would have born in this time, what are the things he would have wanted to change or atleast would have fought for? This answer could give a lot of youngsters to live their lives for a cause rather than being lost in finding them for whole life.

Thirdly, though short, but his talk about his experiences would have given enthusiastic people like us, a light of hope of following a path to contributing their life for a good cause. Nevertheless, not to forget the quotes of a famous person “The purpose of Life is to have a Life with a purpose”.

Some university students prefer living in campus housing such as dormitories. Other students prefer living in off-campus housing such as apartments. Which of these two options would you choose?

I would prefer living in the campus rather than off-campus. Living in campus housing such as dormitories gives us the following advantages:

Firstly, being in close proximity to the university, there is no time constraints. Sometimes, commuting may take lot of time, which may be judiciously used for studying, extra-curricular activites, playing sports or making friends. Additionally, there is no headache of daily traffic woes and hence, we can free of strict time-oriented activities at the campus.

Secondly, it allows to mix with the blend of students of the other courses and may be of other countries in the dormitories, thus, allowing to expand the horizon of relationships, culture, hertitage and own social network, which comes fruitful during the testing times of our lives. It gives the opportunity to participate in the various university activities and mingle with the people.

Thirdly, it always allows us to use the university amenities like computer labs, research labs, gyms and libraries as and when required, provided there are no constraints to using them.

Last but not the least, other than generally being less costly than off-campus housings, university life comes for just a couple of years where we are free to have our lives with others, which could leave a long-lasting impact on our lives and we go on to make life-long friendships. After the university, everyone tends to move out to their families and jobs, eventually settling down at the apartments.

Failure often leads to success.

Thomas Elva Edison having failed 100 times to build the bulb once said “By failing 100 times, I came to know 100 ways not possible to build the bulb”. So, yes failure always shows the path not to be taken and try a different path that could give the solution to the problem.

Let us take the example of Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln became the Presidnet of the United States after a lot of failures in his life. His famous failure in his early career attempt to do business made him debted for almost 15-20 years but he once said, those failures made him more stronger to achieve success as Success was eluding him.

Similarly, failures are the milestones which one should always remember in their lives. They  demonstrate the real-life classrooms of the university which we call the LIFE. These are those mistakes and learnings, which become our experiences in our later part of our career and lives. These are the FAILURES only that have made people like Steve Jobs to come back to his own-founded company Apple after he was fired in 10 long years of struggle.

Moreover, its due to failures only that makes some people to stay and maintain their success levels after they achieve becuase they understand the pain and the hard work it takes to reach the level of success. Additionally, successful person tries to work for the major masses when they understnad what failures teach them and try to better the society by the experience is their failures.
